PERSEVERANCE
DID YOU KNOW THAT God loves to see us persevering when trials come because He knows it is for our benefit. Two of my favorite verses about perseverance are:
James 1:12 - “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him.”
Romans 12:12 - “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
Throughout the last few years I have really been put to the test to see if I can persevere through all the trials that have come my way. The picture to the left is my reward for my perseverance and steadfastness through my trials while on this journey. My book, Still Standing While on My Knees is now in all major retailers and also some independent bookstores. To think that I am holding this book in my hands is surreal. It has been a long 4 years but I did not give up. In 2022, I felt God lay on my heart to write a book to help others. I did not know where to begin. I told the Lord if you supply me with words every day, I promise to write every day. And I did for over a year and a half, legal pads were all over my living room and kitchen table. I wrote longhand filling up numerous pads, then came the editing, and finally sending it to a publisher. And do you know what? The first publisher I sent it to loved it and said they would publish it. My friend (in the book business) said this does not happen!! A person to write their FIRST book and have their FIRST submission to a publisherr be accepted is unheard of! This really showed me the idea for the book truly was from God and His words came out through me on to the paper. For my obedience and humbleness, He rewarded me. I believe every person going through a trial, whether divorce, a bad diagnosis, or losing a loved one, this book WILL help you. This book will not help you because of me, but because of Whom I am pointing to. God and His Word (Scripture) will direct your path. So excited for you to read it.
