Knitting our hearts back together
Did you know that in Psalm 139:13 it states, “ For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb.” Whenever I think or see something knit, I think of this verse. So when I stumbled on this heart being knitted back together, it made me smile. If our Father in heaven loved us so much that He knit us together in our mother’s womb, and made each of us out of His love for us, then does He not want what is best for us? He does see if our heart has been broken. He hears our cries and sees our tears. He does want us to be restored! But here is the “rub.” We might see it happening another way. We want the pain to be gone NOW! But in God’s love for us, He might see another way that will benefit us more. God sees the WHOLE picture of our lives. We only see the small piece that we are presently living in. And if we have accepted Jesus to be Lord of our lives, then that means when we ask for healing, we believe that He will do what is best for us even if we do not see it that way in the moment.
I know if I was healed immediately through the years, it would have not brought me to where I am now in my relationship with the Lord. If you asked me even two years ago if I had a deep relationship with the Lord; I would have said yes. But boy oh boy, I am even closer to Him today. He has been teaching me so much through His word and through church sermons and through people who love the Lord so much. I speak more about the love that the Lord has for us and ways to deepen our relationship with Him in Still Standing While on My Knees.
